Foals, Aurora, New Order, and Wiz Khalifa among new Roskilde additions
Danish festival Roskilde has announced a meaty new wave of additions, including Foals, Wiz Khalifa, Aurora, and New Order.
Also announced are Bring Me The Horizon (UK), Sleep (US), Skepta (UK), Vince Staples (US), Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra (DE), Bisse (DK), Blick Bassy (CM), Cate Le Bon (UK), Dusky (UK), Hayden James (AU), Pat Thomas (GH), Odesza (US), Tsjuder (NO), anf Twitching Tongues (US).
Head of Programme Anders Wahrén says of the additions:
“We know how much urban music means to our audience, and this summer we saw how both Pharrell and Kendrick Lamar rocked our biggest stage. We believe that Wiz Khalifa is approaching the height of his popularity, and he’s one of the artists that most people specifically requested to see at Roskilde Festival. We know from his last visit to the festival that he has both the energy and hits to deliver a spectacular party. New Order have enjoyed a brilliant comeback with their latest album. We consider them good friends of the festival after their performances in 1984, 1993 and 2002, and we can’t wait to see them deliver their groundbreaking classics and their unique combination of stadium and club music.”
Other confirmed acts so far include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Action Bronson, Mac Demarco, Courtney Barnett, Cattle Decapitation, Colin Stetson & Sarah Neufeld, Ho99o9, Kuedo, Qwanqwa, Sleaford Mods and Sturgill Simpson.
Tickets for Roskilde Festival, which takes place between 25 June and 2 July, are on sale now.
