Flying Lotus to direct and score new sci-fi horror film Ash
It's been revealed that Flying Lotus will direct and score an upcoming sci-fi horror feature film titled Ash.
Ash will be the Grammy-winning artist's second feature film after 2017's Kuso, and will, according to Deadline, be based on a woman who "wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed."
Much like Kuso, Flying Lotus will score the upcoming film, which will be produced by XYZ Films and GFC Films, and is due to feature a screenplay by Jonni Remmler. Casting is expected to begin later this month, and production is scheduled to start this summer.
Flying Lotus said of his new film, "I’ve a strong desire to innovate in the sci-fi space, and I really want to show the world something they’ve never seen before."
Last year saw Flying Lotus score the Netflix anime series Yasuke.
