Flying Lotus prepping new album for 2014 release
Experimental producer Flying Lotus has revealed that he’s close to finishing up work on his upcoming new album.
The electronic musician (birth name: Steven Ellison) took to Twitter to confirm that his fifth studio record is “almost ready for mixing”. As well as this, he also revealed that there’ll be some rapping on the LP (Lotus recently dropped a mixtape under his Captain Murphy moniker) and that he’s currently “unsigned”. The latter comes as surprising news, with Ellison hinting that he could be parting ways with Warp Records.

At this point I’m technically unsigned. That’s interesting. Feels funny. #theinbetween
