Flying Lotus pianist Austin Peralta passes away at 22
Flying Lotus collaborator and Brainfeeder artist Austin Peralta has been pronounced dead at the young age of 22.
The pianist and composer released his Endless Planets LP on the LA label in 2011 and was in the process of making its follow-up.
Peralta also appeared on Flying Lotus’ latest record, Until the Quiet Comes, as well as having previously worked with the likes of Erykah Badu.
Flying Lotus tweeted the following tribute:
“It kills me to type that we lost a member of our family, Austin Peralta. I don’t really have the right words right now…we are very thankful to have had him in our lives!” thankful that he left such beautiful music with us.”
Our thoughts are with Peralta’s friends and family at this time.
