Flock of Dimes announces Head of Roses: Phantom Limb with new song "It Just Goes On"
Flock of Dimes has announced Head of Roses: Phantom Limb, a collection of unreleased tracks from the Head of Roses era, and has shared new track "It Just Goes On".
"It Just Goes On" is the first outing from Jenn Wasner's Head of Roses: Phantom Limb collection, and is teamed with a video co-directed by Jenn Wasner and Spence Kelly.
Wasner says of the new release, "This is perhaps one of the most simple and direct songs I’ve ever made (and, also, one of my favourites!)—so it made sense to try and create a video that was similarly straightforward and heart-on-sleeve. I haven’t been to many parties over the past few years (for obvious reasons) so it felt particularly surreal to stage this one with some of my actual friends in Durham, NC. The party was fake but the feelings were real. Thanks so much to my friends for letting me invite them to a party and then force them to watch me be an absolute bummer the entire time."
Head of Roses: Phantom Limb will feature a series of unheard demos, live performances and covers of Joni Mitchell's "Amelia" and Joan Armatrading's "The Weakness in Me".
