Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks writes poetry about Game of Thrones
These days, rockstars are exactly like everyone else – spending their spare time in the green room streaming one U.S TV show after another on Netflix. It’s even turned out that Stevie Nicks is a big fan of Game of Thrones just like the rest of us.
Speaking to Scotland’s The Herald newspaper on a recent leg of Fleetwood Mac’s current world tour, the musician waxed lyrical about her love for the show.
“The author is my age and it blows my mind that he’s able to create this vast, interlinked world,” the singer recently said. “As a songwriter I write little movies. But I can’t imagine sitting down and writing even one small book. But then probably somebody like him couldn’t imagine writing Edge Of Seventeen or Rhiannon – couldn’t write a whole little life in two verses and a chorus.”
Nicks also revealed that she’s so big a fan of the series that she’s taken to writing fan fiction too.
“Of course I would love to write some music for Game Of Thrones. I’ve written a bunch of poetry about it – one for each of the characters. On Jon Snow… On Arya… On Cersei and Jaime.”
