Pecknold will be teaching the online workshop that is open to "songwriters of all levels" from 16 January 2022 through a series of "lectures, live Q&A's, writing assignments and group reviews." It'll take place across four consecutive Sundays, beginning on 16 January 2022.
According to the Instagram post shared by Fleet Foxes, Pecknold will teach topics such as "Process & Manifestos, Melody & Lyrics, Utilizing musical 'technologies' for defamiliarization and Attention & Novelty."
The School of Song site states that those who attend the workshop - which will be available for different time zones - will be tasked with writing "a song using the techniques discussed in the lecture" each week.
