Flatbush Zombies announce graphic novel as part of debut album fifth anniversary celebrations
Flatbush Zombies have announced their new graphic novel 3001: A Prequel Odyssey, another part of the fifth anniversary celebrations for their debut album 3001: A Laced Odyssey.
As the title suggests, 3001: A Prequel Odyssey is a graphic novel that serves as a prequel to the trio's 2016 debut album, which came out just over five years ago.
Z2 Comics' description reads: "Erick, Meech, and Juice were just three friends from Flatbush with the power to really move a crowd—until a supernatural crystal changed everything! Now, dark forces are invading the neighborhood to unleash a nightmare entity at Brookyln's world-famous West Indian Day Parade...and only the Flatbush Zombies stand in their way."
It's written by journalist and rapper Rob Markman, and will be the comic book debut of illustrator J.J. Lopez.
Flatbush Zombies revealed in their Instagram post that the graphic novel is another part of the five-year anniversary celebrations of 2016's 3001: A Laced Legacy album.
