FKA twigs' Soundtrack 7 film to be shown on UK TV this weekend
FKA twigs is debuting her exciting new "abstract autobiographical" film Soundtrack 7 on BBC Four this Sunday.
twigs has directed the film, which is choreographed by Aaron Sillis. It features twigs' songs "How's That", "Ultraviolet", "Good To Love", and more - press release explains it is "bound together by a... repeated recitation of Thomas Wyatt's poem ‘I Find No Peace'".
Soundtrack 7 was recorded this summer at Manchester's Old Granada Studios as part of twigs' week-long residency at the Manchester International Festival. The residency allowed audiences to observe as twigs, her crew, and her collaborators created "spontaneous" performance art.
twigs' says this new project is "flesh, sweat, feeling, muscle; no air brushing, no frills."
The film will air at 23:30 on 27 November, and will be immediately available on the BBC iPlayer. It will viewable at fkatwi.gs at a later date to be confirmed "shortly".
