FKA Twigs launches new Instagram-only magazine series

FKA Twigs has unveiled a new magazine named AVANTgarden which you'll have to log onto Instagram to check out.

A press release explains that it's an "original digizine to be built and distributed using Instagram's slides feature". The first issue - Issue 1: ROOTS. SHOCK. BEAUTY. - is out now; it's a "visual exploration of braided hair styles" featuring friends, colleagues, and collaborators.

FKA Twigs describes the new project as a "way for me to express myself without any rules or guidelines, with imagination and care."

Twigs has been fairly quiet this year after a hectic 2016 of films, dancing, live shows, and new music.

We're still waiting on the follow up to 2015's M3LL155X EP and short film.
