Somerset native Sabella made waves with some stellar singles in 2015 - we sit down with the star ahead of her performance at the Five Day Forecast.
Fusing slick R&B, avant-garde pop, and '80s hallmarks, Sabella creates a spectacular set of sounds; "Living Like This" and "Made It Right" are powerful, bittersweet depictions of different kinds of love, and caught the ears of many upon their arrival. As Sabella gears up to make 2016 her year, we have a natter about what to expect from her Five Day Forecast show and beyond.
Tickets for the Five Day Forecast are on sale now.

Could you introduce yourself for us please?
I'm Sabella, a 20 year old singer/songwriter living in Peckham but originally I'm from Somerset. Is that at all helpful haha?
What do you try to do with your music and how do you achieve this?
I don't think too much about it. I wish I could be more considered and calculated in the way that I create, but I really am no expert. I'm a lover of music and making music, but how my own music takes its shape is definitely an organic process and there is usually no set intention.
Can you tell us what musical and non-musical influences have shaped your sound?
Everything But The Girl, Joan Armatrading, and The Doobie Brothers were all people I listened to when I was a growing up and still influence me now. All the CDs my parents played in the car or at home were born from the same era really but as I've got older, my favourite artists and bands have almost stayed within the same remit.
What should people expect from your Five Day Forecast show?
I'll be performing songs from my EP Home Truths and will be playing some newer stuff too which will be fun!
What are you working on now/next?
I'm in the studio at the moment working on my next project which will hopefully be in the form of an album!
How is 2016 shaping up? What are you looking forward to this year?
2016 is shaping up rather nicely. I am looking forward to collaborating with really cool people and just putting out more music really. I love performing live so cannot wait to do a load more shows and festivals in the Summer.
