Fiona Apple to donate two years of royalties from "Shameika" and "Heavy Balloon" to charity
Fiona Apple is donating two years worth of royalties from her "Shameika" and "Heavy Balloon" songs to charity.
Both "Shameika" and "Heavy Balloon" feature on Fiona Apple's first album in eight years, Fetch The Bolt Cutters.
Apple has made a pledge to donate all royalties from TV and movie placements of the tracks to two organisations over the next two years. Royalties from "Shameika" will go to the Harlem Children’s Zone, and money from "Heavy Balloon" will be donated to Seeding Sovereignty.
She has also pledged to donate $50,000 to each charity if the two songs don't get requests for TV or movie placements.
