Field Music return with fourth album inspired by 'Bernstein and Willy Wonka'
Sunderland’s favourite sons Peter and David Brewis have announced their return to the Field Music fold with the release of Plumb, which will see the light of day via the band’s long-term label Memphis Industries on February 13. Unlike their sprawling double-album Measure from 2010, the Brewis Bros have resorted back to the streamline pop mechanics of their first two releases whilst implementing “surreal abstractions of 20th century film music from Bernstein to Willy Wonka”. You didn’t expect just a straight pop record did you? Of course not.
Listen to the rollicking ‘(I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing’ below and, for the price of an email address, receive a free mp3 of the track via the band’s official website.
