FIDLAR become conspiracy theorist-hunting aliens in video for new track "Drone"
With their highly anticipated second album about to drop, FIDLAR have shared new cut "Drone".
Premiering on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, the track is a two-and-a-half minute raucous romp out of routine - a feat FIDLAR have always achieved so well. Frenetic, fuzzed up, and contagious, "Drone" simply adds to the excitement surrounding the imminent release.
The video sees the band transplanted into a classic suburbia as aliens chasing down a conspiracy theorist. "It looks like it was done by a bunch of 12 year olds in 1979," director and long-time collaborator Ryan Baxley states. "The 'Drone' video is a prequel to FIDLAR’s music video for their song 'Oh' from their very first EP."
"Drone" is the third track to be unveiled from the forthcoming record, following "40oz On Repeat" and "West Coast".
FIDLAR release Too via Wichita Recordings on 4 September. The band play the main stages at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, before touring across the UK and Europe this November.
