Faris Badwan's Cat's Eyes project soundtrack new film "The Duke of Burgundy"
Cat’s Eyes - the orchestral side-project of The Horrors’ Faris Badwan and Rachel Zeffira - have revealed their work on the soundtrack of upcoming movie The Duke Of Burgundy.
The film is the latest project by director Peter Strickland, with the score recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios. “The film is about a world without men,” Faris recently told Exclaim. “So I wasn’t allowed to do any singing.”
Badwan continued to describe the sound of the compositions as “twisted”, adding that there’s “an atmosphere when you’re not really sure what a sound is sometimes”.
The Duke Of Burgundy is expected to be released later this year, while the Cat’s Eyes album dropped back in 2011.
