Fan shares unofficial MF DOOM GameBoy game prototype clips
Following MF DOOM's death, a fan has shared a clip of a GameBoy game prototype based on the masked rapper that they created last year.
On New Year's Eve (31 December), Jasmine Dumile, the wife of MF DOOM, shared a post via his Instagram that revealed the masked rapper died on 31 October. The legendary rapper was 49, and the cause of death is yet to be revealed.
Tributes poured in from all over the world, including MF DOOM's collaborators Ghostface Killah, Czarface, Bishop Nehru, and Lupe Fiasco shared a MF DOOM-style freestyle.
A really interesting tribute has surfaced on Twitter via a user called CHAFOMON. On New Year's Day, CHAFOMON shared two clips of a GameBoy game prototype they created based on MF DOOM. The clip sees an animated MF DOOM in his studio, and CHAFOMON demonstrates the ability to smoke a blunt, and showcases MF DOOM's rap-ready responses. The second clip shows MF DOOM exploring the local area, complete with a record store.
CHAFOMON wrote of the clip, "Some of you may remember me working on an unofficial DOOM GameBoy game earlier this year. I'd ended up scrapping the idea due to the obvious licensing issues I would have encountered, but now is probably as good of a time as ever to share the bit of prototype I did get done..."

"The graphics were mainly all drawn by me, but I did lift and modify some items from a few other GB RPG games (such as Pokemon)," CHAFOMON continued. "I never got around to making any sound for it either. I probably should have added a voice over here, but I'm not my most upbeat with DOOM having passed."
CHAFOMON added, "That's supposed to be Quasimoto on the rooftop of the record store taking a smoke break... but his walking pattern is randomly programmed, so it was kinda hard to see him."
