Ezra Koenig details Vampire Weekend's double album, confirms new music arriving next week
Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig has confirmed a double album coming from the group this year, as well as revealing new music is landing next week.
It's been six years since Modern Vampires of the City, and finally, Vampire Weekend vocalist Ezra Koenig, has given that long-awaited update we've all been waiting for.
Revealing some exciting news via his Instagram, Koenig unveiled the initials of their new album title, "It’s called “FOTB” (well those are the initials - that’s a VW tradition)", and announced there'll be 18 tracks.
Koenig also revealed that "Mitsubishi Macchiato" was only a "working title" for their new album, which will be around an hour long from start to finish.
The Vampire Weekend frontman also revealed the most exciting news yet, "Anyway, we’re gonna start releasing music next week." Alongside announcing that new music is imminent, Koenig also let fans in on their release schedule, "There will be three 2-song drops every month until the record is out."
