Ex-vocalist Christine McVie to sing with Fleetwood Mac on upcoming UK tour
Fleetwood Mac’s former keyboardist and singer, Christine McVie is set to sing with the band on their heavily-rumoured upcoming UK tour.
According to NME, the band are said to be planning UK dates for later this year and now drummer Mick Fleetwood has said that he expects the retired musician to re-join the group.
McVie had previously been reluctant to perform at the group’s reunion shows, formally parting ways back in 1998.
But now Fleetwood has hinted that she may appear at a possible forthcoming London show.
Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald, he said:
‘‘Of course my fantasy is that she’ll write some lovely song that at some point can go on an album, and I’m really hoping that when we perform in London this time she’ll grab hold of the courage to come up and sing with us. And I’ve got a feeling that she will.’’
The tour would mark the 45th anniversary of the group’s debut record.
