Ex Hex announce UK tour dates, share new video for "Waterfall"
Ex Hex, on this, the day of their debut full-length's release, have announced a mammoth UK/EU tour, including a stop-off at London's Water Rats.
The band have also unleashed the video for "Waterfall", taken from Rips, directed by M. Wartella, who describes it as "basically Rock & Roll Space Vixens invade Washington, DC. I wanted to give the awesome ladies of Ex Hex the Ed Wood treatment and create something like a Russ Meyer or Corman film: Fast, Cheap & Out of Control."
We were very impressed with Rips, slapping an 8/10 on it and Jon Putnam explaining:
"Approaching an album critically, it’s easy to get entangled in pretense, searching for angles that may or may not be there, and often desperately attempting to make overwhelming socio-political connections. Every so often, you need those cobwebs cleared by an album that unequivocally reminds you of why you ever really wanted to discuss and expound upon music in the first place – that you love it; it excites you; that it can, even if briefly, unravel the knottiness of “real life” for you. Rips is that album; there’s nary an ounce of artiness or innovation here, and it sounds almost hopelessly out of time in 2014, yet you can’t help but grin and love it just the same."
Have a watch of the video below and then cast your gaze over the seemingly infinite list of tour dates below.
