Eurosonic Noorderslag 2015 announce first wave of acts
The 29th edition of The Netherlands' Eurosonic showcase will see the spotlight trained on Iceland and its musical offerings.
With that in mind, the first acts announced are Samaris, Kaleo, Kiasmos and Rökkurró.
The festival each year selects a different nation to focus on, celebrating the range of music that country can offer. On choosing Iceland as next year's focal point, Peter Smidt, Eurosonic Noorderslag's creative director said: “For many years we have enjoyed the incredible amount of unique acts to come out of this small European country. We also have been amazed by the quality of Icelandic acts that have performed at previous editions of Eurosonic. We are looking forward to put a spotlight on all new Icelandic talents by doing the focus on Iceland at Eurosonic Noorderslag in January 2015.”
