Estonian shoegazers Holy Motors announce debut album Slow Sundown
Holy Motors, a darkly elegant quintet from the Baltics, have detailed debut full-length Slow Sundown and shared gorgeous lead cut "Honeymooning".
The track follows the group's "Sleeprydr" 7" from earlier this year ("Sleeprydr" is also on the album), and provides a smoky welcome into the world of Holy Motors for the uninitiated. Filled with grace and shadows, "Honeymooning" is enchanting stuff - it's a mesh of the wispy sound perfected by Mazzy Star, the swaggering doom of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game", and the classic beauty of continental cinema from the '60s and '70s.
Merchandise's Carson Cox produced the LP, which was recorded at Kutch1 Studios in Brooklyn.
