Esotouric to host Tom Waits-centric LA bus tour in July
On 19 July, Los Angeles bus tour company Esotouric will host their annual “Crawling Down Cahuenga: Tom Waits’ Los Angeles” tour.
Hosted by David Smay—who penned the Swordfishtrombones installment of the 33 1/3 book series—and Esotouric’s Kim Cooper, the tour will run through pivotal locations from the early days of Waits’ career in LA. Per its description on the Esotouric website:
“Crawling Down Cahuenga” spans Tom’s personal city, from The Nickel (aka Skid Row) to once-ratty West Hollywood, favorite strip clubs and midnight diners, recording studios, night clubs, record labels and film studios, before rolling back downtown via the filming location of Waits’ “In The Neighborhood” video.
The “Crawling Down Cahuenga” tour will take place on 19 July from noon–4pm. Watch the tour’s trailer below, tickets and more info are available at Esotouric’s website.
