Erykah Badu shares new mixtape featuring Stevie Wonder, James Brown and more
Erykah Badu has shared a surprise new mixtape of classic soul, funk and jazz grooves, including material from the likes of Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Sun Ra, Earth Wind and Fire and more.
In a caption accompanying the tape, Badu wrote: "ALL OVER THE GLOBE...KEEP WALKING TALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS. SOMEDAY WE WILL ALL BE FREE. THE WORLD IS IN NEED OF HEALING.... I CAREFULLY AND LOVINGLY SELECTED HIGH FREQUENCY TONES FOR THE SOUL.... PLEASE LISTEN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. LOVE, ms. badu"
Badu last released an album in 2010, New Amerykah Part Two. It's rumoured that she's working on her next LP with Flying Lotus, and a track titled "Rememory" recently appeared on the Chance The Rapper/Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment album Surf.
