Erykah Badu debuted a new track during her NTS Radio mix
Erykah Badu provided a two-hour mix for NTS Radio's Sound of Colour series, and revealed a new untitled track right in the middle of it.
NTS Radio's “Sound of Colour” series welcomed Erykah Badu on Monday (5 November) to present a mix centered around the colour green.
Dedicated to the late jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove who passed away last week, Badu decided to reveal a brand new light piano track, complete with a catchy hook, "Money can't buy me love / But it can keep me in some fresh shit."
The two-hour mix saw Badu drop tracks by Wu-Tang Clan, Earl Sweatshirt, and Khruangbin. She also defined what the colour green means to her around the 1:26:00 mark, stating, "The colour green is the frequency of love, the heart chakra. But green alone, is only part of the great spectrum of life."
Skip to the 1:05:00 to hear the new track. If you're in the US, be aware that you can only listen to the mix three times, and that you can't rewind.
