Erin Rae unveils new festive track "Christmas Starts Tonight"
Erin Rae has released an original festive track titled "Christmas Starts Tonight", featuring Nashville's Lockeland Strings.
"Christmas Starts Tonight" marks Rae's first - and probably last - release of 2020, following last year's Lagniappe Session EP.
The new song was recorded and mixed by Ryan McFadden, with Rae contributinggGuitars, vocals, and keys. Laura Epling handled the string arrangement and performed it alongside Lydia Luce and Austin Hoke at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN.
Rae wrote of the track on Twitter today (22 December), "With the help of Lockeland Strings, I recorded a new Nashville Christmas tune. Melancholy! Laura Epling on string arrangement. For u."
