Empress Of returns with breezy new track "Call Me"
Empress Of has dropped her breezy track "Call Me", featured on the forthcoming soundtrack for new film The Turning.
"Call Me" is the fifth single to be shared from The Turning soundtrack, after The Aubreys' "Getting Better (Otherwise)" with Finn Wolfhard, Pale Waves and Lawrence Rothman's "SkinDeepSkyHighHeartWide", Soccer Mommy's "Feed", and Courtney Love's "Mother".
It also marks the first new single from Empress Of since she featured on Banoffee's "Tennis Fan" in October 2019.
Soundtrack producer Lawrence Rothman says of "Call Me", "When writing the track with Lorely, Yves [Rothman] and I had the idea of writing something that was dreamy and processional; the movie’s swan song. it became a track that Floria Sigismondi used on set a lot to set the mood when shooting the scenes of the dreamlike limbo that the ghost Ms. Jessel is trapped in."
The soundtrack will also feature new tracks by Warpaint, Vagabon, Cherry Glazerr, Mitski, Kali Uchis, Alice Glass, girl in red, Kim Gordon, and more.
