Emily Eavis denies Mel B's claims that Glastonbury 2021 is cancelled
Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis has taken to Twitter to deny that Glastonbury 2021 is cancelled after Mel B said it wasn't going ahead during a recent talk on BBC Radio 5 Live.
This afternoon (4 January), BBC Radio 5 Live Must Watch podcast host Scott Bryan posted a snippet of a discussion that took place on a recent episode of the podcast with Spice Girls' Mel B.
While speaking to Nihal Arthanayake on the podcast, Mel B claimed that she was told Glastonbury 2021 isn't going ahead, and also seemed to hint that Spice Girls are eyeing up the festival's Sunday legends slot as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.
Mel B said, "I know that Glastonbury’s been cancelled, so a lot of big stage performances are on hold again this year, which is sad but we’ve got to get this virus under control."
After discussing whether she'd play the legends slot, Arthanayake said, "I'm not sure Glastonbury has said its not happening in 2021." Mel B responded, "No they did today."
