Electronic outfit Emeralds have announced they have broken up.
The confirmation comes less than a month after one of their three members, Mark McGuire, left the band.
The group’s Steve Hauschildt previously stated that the band would continue as a twopiece, but seems to have had a recent change of heart.
He made the announcement via Twitter:
After much thought, I too have decided to leave Emeralds for personal reasons. The band is now over and all tour dates are cancelled.

Hauschildt has stated he will continue to work on his own.
McGuire, likewise, had recently spent a lot of time working on solo material, including the Surrogate Channels EP.
The band formed in 2006 and released five albums.
