Elvis Costello is back with his first new song of 2020, "No Flag".
"No Flag" is Costello's first new outing since releasing his Purse EP with The Imposters in May 2019.
Costello recorded the new song in three days at Suomenlinnan Studio, Helsinki back in February. It was recorded by Eetu Seppälä, and assisted by Tim Mikkkola.
On his choice of location for recording the new single, Costello says, "I wanted to go somewhere nobody knew me. So, this is 'The Helsinki Sound'."
Costello's last album was 2018's Look Now with The Imposters.
Back in April, Costello shared a heartfelt written tribute to the late John Prine.
Elvis Costello's "No Flag" single is out now on Concord Records.
