Elton John confirms Britney Spears collaboration "Hold Me Closer"
Elton John has announced the release of "Hold Me Closer", a new collaboration with Britney Spears.
Last month it was reported that Spears had joined John on a new version of his 1972 hit "Tiny Dancer", which they reportedly created at a Beverly Hills recording studio the previous week. Paris Hilton then said she'd heard the "iconic" collaboration, and last night (8 August) Elton John confirmed its existence, revealing that it's titled "Hold Me Closer".

"Hold Me Closer" will mark Spears’ first music release since her 13-year conservatorship was terminated in November last year. Spears’ last album was 2016’s Glory, and in 2020 she released the deluxe edition of the record which featured the bonus songs "Swimming in the Stars" and Backstreet Boys collaboration "Matches".
