Elon Musk has made a song about NFTs and is selling it as an NFT
Elon Musk, who just changed his job title to Technoking of Tesla, has revealed he's made a song about NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that will be sold as an NFT.
Elon Musk is the latest person to jump on the NFT hype, following in the footsteps of girlfriend Grimes, who recently auctioned off 10 pieces of digital artwork called WarNymph Collection Vol. 1 as NFTs for $6 million.
The self-crowned Technoking of Tesla uploaded a two-and-a-half-minute clip of the techno track to socials, which features an animation of a spinning golden trophy with a neon sign reading "NFT" at the top, while the words "Vanity Trophy" orbit a golden globe above a base featuring the phrase "Computers Never Sleep".
As The Verge notes, part of the base on the trophy features the acronym "HODL", which stands for "hold on for dear life", a phrase often used within the cryptocurrency community.
Musk wrote alongside the video, "I’m selling this song about NFTs as an NFT."

It's currently unclear how much involvement Musk had with the song, but last year he did release a full EDM track called "Don't Doubt ur Vibe". Musk is yet to detail how he intends to sell the NFT.
Musk is no stranger the to cryptocurrency world - just last month Tesla invested $1.5 billion in the cryptocurrency, and is planning to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.
