Elliphant unleashes explosive new single "Club Now Skunk" featuring Big Freedia
Elliphant unleashes "Club Now Skunk", a blistering new tune featuring Big Freedia from her upcoming debut record Living Life Golden.
Swedish filmmaker Johan Holm has directed the visual accompaniment, which is styled by Stina Persson, in collaboration with Elliphant herself.
Speaking about the collab, Elliphant says: "I hunted the ‘Queen’ down in DC! By far the most top notch and coolest collaboration I could ever dream of. I waited for hours by the merchandise stall like a real groupie. Freedia responded warmly and said ‘I’ll look out for you girl!' Three weeks later, the seed I planted that night popped in a studio in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles and that is where we made Club Now Skunk!”
The track features production from Tommy Tysper and Carli Löf and is taken from Elliphant’s forthcoming debut album “Living Life Golden,” which is due out in January 2016 on Dr. Luke’s label Kemosabe and Record Company TEN.
Already Elliphant has amassed an impressive 40.4 million + Spotify Plays, 28 million+ video plays, and an incredible 55k+ Shazam tags in just the last month. Clearly indicating that she is a force to be reckoned with.
She has worked with some of the world’s biggest producers, from Grammy Award nominees and winners Skrillex, Dr. Luke, Diplo, Major Lazer and Joel Little (the man responsible for producing Lorde’s critically acclaimed debut album).
Living Life Golden is out via Kemosabe/TEN in January 2016.
