Ellie Goulding unveils new Lauv collaboration "Slow Grenade"
Ellie Goulding has shared her new Lauv collaboration "Slow Grenade", lifted from her first album in five years, Brightest Blue.
"Slow Grenade" is Goulding's first release from Brightest Blue since May's "Power", and completes the collaborations on the EG.0 side of the LP.
The new single marks the first collaboration between Goulding and Lauv, and is Lauv's first feature since releasing his Without You EP last week.
Brightest Blue is Goulding's first album in five years, following on from 2015's Delirium.
Discussing the first half of her new album, Goulding explains it "reflects my vulnerability… it acknowledges a complex world where relationships still dictate our happiness and heartbreak and can still be the most painful thing in the world, no matter how enlightened you are. The tracks also symbolise growing up and becoming a woman."
She adds the second half "encapsulates my confident, brave and fearless side and features all my recent collaborations. I often find myself writing about my thoughts and emotions in a way that I know will be catchy and memorable. I will always seek to use my voice in ways that no one would ever expect and look to collaborate with the least likely, exciting and eclectic group of other artists."
