Ellie Goulding says her new album isn't inspired by marriage
Ellie Goulding has revealed that her upcoming fourth album is not inspired by married life.
Goulding is currently working on her follow up to 2015's Delirium, and revealed to Extra TV at Variety's Hitmakers brunch in Los Angeles yesterday (9 December) that the album will not be inspired by her recent marriage to Caspar Jopling.
At the beginning of the interview, Goulding reveals that she's been working on her fourth album for three years, and it's due for release in 2020.
When asked if the LP is inspired by married life, Goulding responds, "Not really. No, I keep that really separate, and I still write about my past situations, and times where i've felt the only way to get my feelings out is to write a song, and then you know, my friends, my family, my surroundings, so yeah, not that side of my life, but yeah."
Back in September, serpentwithfeet revealed that he performed at Goulding's wedding ceremony.
Over summer, Goulding collaborated with the late Juice WRLD on "Hate Me".
