Elastica are back in the studio together
Elastica have been back in the studio to work on... something. It's not clear but it's all very exciting.
Sean Magee, Mastering Engineer at Abbey Road Studios, revealed he'd "cut a record" for the band - their most recent LP (The Menace) was released almost 17 years ago in 2000. Elastica split not long after in 2001.
Magee also noted that the band members "hadn't see each other for 20yrs".
Could this be a new record? It's a stretch, considering each member's very different path in the years since - remastered reissues, perhaps? That doesn't seem impossible to us.
The Elastica Facebook page also uploaded some shots from the studio sessions - in the comments section there are a few more titbits of info: "Justine's involved in what's happening too, she's just not in the picture though..."
They also say Elastica will "break the news soon."
