El Perro Del Mar to reissue debut LP with 10 bonus tracks
Gothenburg songstress El Perro Del Mar is re-releasing her self-titled debut with 10 bonus tracks to celebrate it hitting a decade in existence.
The upcoming edition of the album features a range of demos, live tunes, previously unreleased offcuts, B-sides and acoustic sessions. A track from the deluxe copy will also be featured on the HBO’s Girls on 22 February (USA air date).
Del Mar's also airing one of the bonus tracks with the album announcement called "An Eye For Gold". It's predominantly left-hand keys and softly-floating guitar chords that underpin her Lykke Li-esque lilt, but as the noise ramps up for the final crescendo, a melancholy warmth seeps from xylophone, scratchy riffs and feathery harmonies.
El Perro Del Mar (Deluxe Edition) is set for release via The Control Group on 17 February, and you can pre-order it here.
