EERA details debut record Reflection Of Youth and shares two new singles
Norwegian-born, London-based songsmith EERA has announced her debut record Reflection Of Youth and shared two new singles to mark the occasion.
EERA, real name Anna Lena Bruland, has uncovered "Christine" and "I Wanna Dance" from her Nick Rayner-producer full-length.
Reflection Of Youth comes after Bruland's debut EERA EP last year and a collaboration with Ghostpoet. It was recorded with Rayner at a studio located "on a working dairy farm" in West Wales and at Rayner's home studio in Cork, Ireland.
"It was a really odd experience to listen back to the record and realise what I'd made," says Bruland. "I was surprised by how different, how much more powerful it felt from the EP. Those songs sounded like I was quietly knocking on the door, trying to get in, whereas the album feels like I'm stepping through it... I think it’s important to be vulnerable, to not be afraid of showing emotion and be open about it with the people around you. We all face problems in our lives, so why not meet them head on?”
Bruland has also announced live shows at London's Bermondsey Social Club on 6 September and an instores at Rough Trade Nottingham on 7 November and Rough Trade East on 9 November.
