EELS are back with the first track from upcoming record The Deconstruction
EELS have returned with "The Deconstruction", the lead single from their first album in four years.
The new album (also titled The Deconstruction) was reocrded at Los Feliz's The Compound and The Pie in Pasadena. Frontman E co-produces the album with Mickey Petralia (who also produced 1998's Electro-Shock Blues), with contributions from The Deconstruction Orchestra and Choir.
"Here are 15 new EELS tracks that may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you," says the band's E (Mark Oliver Everett). "The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside.”
