Edwyn Collins announces new LP with lead single "Outside"
Scotland's Edwyn Collins returns with news of his first album in over four years, Badbea, announced alongside punky new single "Outside".
"Outside" lands as the first single to be shared from Collins' ninth solo record Badbea, and first since 2014's The Possibilities Are Endless release, which soundtracked the biographical documentary following Collins' recovery from two strokes.
Badbea marks the first album in his homemade Clashnarrow Studios, having relocated from London to Helmsdale in 2014. He teamed up with co-producer Sean Read (Dexys, The Rockingbirds) and long-term collaborators Carwyn Ellis (Colorama) and James Walbourne (The Pretenders / The Rails).
Collins' home studio has welcomed some big names since being completed, including Teenage Fanclub, Hooton Tennis Club, Tracyanne and Danny, Meggie Brown, Shopping and David Gray.
His forthcoming album is "all about looking forward, I guess," Collins explains. "I’m happy. Content with life."
