Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros sack singer Jade Castrinos via email
L.A folk collective Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros have parted ways with long-term vocalist Jade Castrinos, allegedly firing her from the band via email.
As Consequence Of Sound reports, Castrinos recently posted a picture to Instagram with the caption: “For seven years I sang and wrote music with Edward Sharpe. They voted me off of tour a week before they left, via email. lol.” Frontman Alex Ebert responded to the news by issuing a statement that explained it “did not feel right doing this tour with Jade. That fact breaks my heart in ways I don’t want to describe”. He has since, however, deleted the post.
Meanwhile, the band will continue their forthcoming tour as previously planned. They released their self-titled third album in 2013.
