Ed Sheeran and Elton John are teaming up on a Christmas single
Ed Sheeran has revealed he'll be teaming up with longtime friend Elton John on a Christmas single this year.
With Sheeran's = album set for release later this month, the star has revealed that he also has a Christmas single coming in a couple of months.
During an appearance on the Netherlands' NPO Radio 2, Sheeran confirmed that the Christmas single will be a collaboration with his good friend Elton John.
When pressed about whether it will feature Elton John, Sheeran told the hosts, "Elton rung me on Christmas day to say Merry Christmas - Elton rings me... I spoke to him this morning, I spoke to him yesterday morning, I speak to him almost every single day - he rung me on Christmas day and he said, ""Step Into Christmas" is number six in the charts, and I'm 74 and I'm still having fucking chart hits, this is great! I wanna do another Christmas song, will you do it with me?" and you're the first guys i'm telling about this."
One of the hosts asked Sheeran if they were singing together on the track, leading Sheeran to respond, "Yeah, just me and him, and it's great, and Elton, if you're watching, I love you."
