Around this time last year Echo Lake were asked to put their own twist of Ariel Pink’s ‘Alisa’ for Pinglewood’s Pingcast and the track ended up on the Japanese reissue of the band’s Young Silence EP. Well now, in celebration of Halloween 2011 they have put together a video to accompany the track.
Directed and produced by Die Mortal the footage presents chilling imagery of a Halloween party gone seriously awry as Linda Jarvis finds herself the victim of Thom Hill’s brutal knife attack. With Linda still managing to smoke and sing through it all, Echo Lake have definitely created one of the more horrifying and haunting visual offerings of the year.
