East London venue 93 Feet East set to close
Brick Lane venue, 93 Feet East have announced their closure.
The bar was raided by the Met Police back in December, where 175 officers and dog units were deployed after reports of Class A drug use.
Owners temporarily closed the bar after what was named Operation Condor, but now they are set to shut their doors permanently.
Deputy Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Ohid Ahmed, said:
“The decision on 93 Feet East’s licence demonstrates that we are prepared to take swift and decisive action if bars are found to be allowing drug dealing and drug misuse.
Through continued partnership working between the council and police, including the dealer a day initiative, we will continue to go the extra mile to tackle drug dealing in our community.”
