East India Youth working on second album
East India Youth, aka electronic musician William Doyle, only released his debut album Total Strife Forever back in January, but now he’s confirmed its follow-up to be “three quarters done”.
Speaking to DIY at Latitude Festival recently, Doyle revealed details of the forthcoming second LP.
“I finished the first mix of the debut two years ago and I started recording it a year and a half ago. It’s been a long journey, actually bringing it out physically this year. But because of that, I’ve had all that time to chip away at little ideas and bring this whole bank of stuff that’s ready to be worked on,” Doyle said.
“Everything on the last one is more electronic,” he added. “I might put some strings on this [new album], give it a bit more depth.”
The aforementioned record hasn’t yet got a name but is “tentatively” scheduled for a 2015 release. Read our review of Total Strife Forever here.
