Du Blonde streams debut album Welcome Back To Milk in full on Best Fit
Du Blonde is streaming her debut long-player a week ahead of its release, exclusively on Best Fit in the UK.
The album, technically the first, though under her birth name Beth Jeans Houghton has shared music before, has spawned singles like "Black Flag" and "Mind Is On My Mind" featuring Samuel T. Herring of Future Islands. It's a ramshackle ride through various rock subgenres, with plenty of attitude and hooks to boot.
In our review, Jude Clarke said: "this is a satisfyingly substantial listen. Houghton has managed to marry her way with a melody and an arresting image with a splash of ire and a dollop of heartbreak, resulting in a hugely likeable and enjoyable whole. What’s in a name? Not much, perhaps. But changing hers seems to have had a largely positive outcome."
Welcome Back To Milk is available to buy on 18 May via Mute.
