Dream Wife release new track "Temporary"
Dream Wife show a softer side on new track "Temporary", which is also a fourth glimpse of their upcoming album So When You Gonna....
"Temporary" lands after previous singles "So When You Gonna...", "Hasta La Vista" and "Sports!".
Dream Wife say of the new release, ""Temporary" is a song about having hope through waves of difficulties and was written for a friend who went through multiple miscarriages and is now pregnant again. It’s about the heartbreak of repeatedly putting your body through the transformation and danger of pregnancy, and it's about holding space for dreams of creating new life and trying again. Miscarriages are not often in the media but as it is experienced by so many, it is important to speak."
So When You Gonna... is Dream Wife's second LP, and will follow on from their 2018 self-titled debut.
Dream Wife's Alice Go says of the team that worked on the new album, "It was amazing to work with this community of womxn on this album who are supporting each other in an industry that is so male-dominated. It was a way of us practicing what we preach. It felt like an honour to be able to deliver this baby with these three amazing midwives."
Today (18 June), Dream Wife have also announced that all proceeds made from pre-orders of their new album on Bandcamp will be donated to Black Minds Matter and Gendered Intelligence.
