Dr. Dre says he's "feeling fantastic" after suffering brain aneurysm earlier this year
Dr. Dre has revealed he's "feeling fantastic" after suffering what was reported to be a brain aneurysm back in January.
At the start of the year Dr. Dre was hospitalised after suffering a reported brain aneurysm. At the time, Dre revealed he was "doing great" and added that he was "getting excellent care from my medical team."
In a new interview with the LA Times, the hip-hop legend has discussed the experience, saying he "never saw that coming. But I’m taking care of myself."
Dr. Dre said, "It’s a really weird thing. I’ve never had high blood pressure. And I’ve always been a person that has always taken care of my health. But there’s something that happens for some reason with Black men and high blood pressure, and I never saw that coming. But I’m taking care of myself."
He added, "And I think every Black man should just check that out and make sure things are OK with the blood pressure. And I’m going to move on and, hopefully, live a long and healthy life. I’m feeling fantastic."
Last month Dr. Dre revealed on Instagram that he was "about to start getting my shit together" and join Will Smith on a journey to improve their fitness.
