Dr. Dre confirms Apple's acquisition of Beats Electronics

Last night, word began to circulate that Apple was in talks to purchase Dr. Dre’s Beats Electronics for $3.2 Billion. Now, a video is making the rounds, in which Dre confirms the acquisition, cementing him as “the first billionaire in hip-hop.”
The news was broken last night by a Financial Times, which was widely sourced but only viewable by subscribers. Today’s video confirms that report for the everyman, who can now hear it straight from the ecstatic source, D-R-E himself, as he celebrates alongside Tyrese and others and announces becoming “the first billionaire in hip-hop, right here from the motherfuckin’ west coast—believe it.”
