Dolly Parton credits Miley Cyrus for giving her a "whole new generation of young fans"
Dolly Parton has given credit to her Goddaughter Miley Cyrus for providing her with a "whole new generation of young fans" while on Hannah Montana.
In a recent video interview with Vogue, Dolly Parton discussed some of her favourite looks from 1975 to 2020, and spoke about her Goddaughter Miley Cyrus while reflecting on her 2019 Grammy Awards outfit and performance.
Parton said of her Goddaughter, "Miley also loves my songs, and she's recorded "Jolene" and that's one of the songs she has in all her shows. So because of her, when she was young on Hannah Montana, I kinda get all this whole new generation of young fans."
Parton continued, "I really credit Miley a lot for some of my younger fans and a lot of the new generation of girls that know her, that know she knows me. It is kind of a wonderful little connection I have with Miley and Billy Ray [Cyrus], they're like family to me."
