Doja Cat hits out at people calling her a white supremacist during Instagram Live
Doja Cat has responded to people calling her a white supremacist during an Instagram Live yesterday (24 June).
Last month, Doja Cat was accused of racism after a 2015 song titled "Dindu Nuffin" surfaced alongside footage of her TinyChat video calls.
Doja Cat responded to the racism allegations in May, first apologising for being on the chatrooms, "I've used public chat rooms to socialise since I was a child. I shouldn’t have been on some of those chat room sites, but I personally have never been involved in any racist conversations. I’m sorry to everyone I offended."
In a second video, she debunked "everything", and said that Tinychat is a "public chat room" that had "racist people coming in and out of the chat", and called her "Dindu Nuffin" song "the worst song in the entire world".
During an Instagram Live yesterday (24 June), Doja Cat responded to claims that she's a white supremacist, "I just realised how fucking stupid that narrative is," Doja Cat said. "I just realised that. The verbal harassment, the physical harassment that I could go through being in a crowd of white supremacists who you think I’m so good friends with, it's fucking ridiculous."
She added, "My friends aren’t fucking racist in chat rooms, my friends on TinyChat are not fucking white supremacists. They love me, I love them, they’re loving and that’s it. You won’t find anything on them because you’re fucking stupid."
